About Credit Card Guru
Credit Card Guru (CCGuru, ccguru.in) helps people in India pick the credit card that actually pays them back, in plain language and with the catches shown upfront.
We're a small, independent team of credit card enthusiasts. We aren't a bank, a card issuer or a financial advisor, and we never ask for your personal or financial details. When you apply, you do it on the issuer's own official website.
How we compare and rank cards
Every card on the site is assessed on the same criteria:
- Real value back: the reward or cashback rate in each spend category (online shopping, groceries, food delivery, fuel, UPI, travel and bills), converted into rupees.
- Fees vs benefits: joining and annual fees, and how much you need to spend to get the fee waived.
- Caps and exclusions: monthly cashback caps, minimum transaction sizes and excluded categories (fuel, rent, wallets, utilities). We show these as "Good to know" on every card.
- Perks: lounge access (and the spend needed to unlock it), forex markup and UPI support.
- Eligibility and ease of approval, especially for first-time users.
Our card finder uses the same reward rates: it multiplies your monthly spends by each card's value-back rate and subtracts the annual fee, unless your spend would get it waived.
Where our information comes from
We use the card issuers' official websites, key fact statements and terms, cross-checked with public announcements of changes. Card details were last reviewed in October 2026. Banks change benefits often, so always confirm the latest terms on the issuer's site before applying.
How we make money
Credit Card Guru is free to use. Some Apply buttons are referral links: if you're approved through one, the issuer may pay us a referral reward, at no extra cost to you. Cards without a referral link are listed and ranked the same way, and many of our top picks link straight to the bank's official page.
